Hi there! I'm Katie.
I’m Katie Massman, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Exercise Physiologist, and stay-at-home mom based in northeast Missouri. It’s my passion to help women with PCOS balance their hormones, eliminate symptoms, love their bodies and live their best life!
But not by giving them more food rules to follow. We don’t need any more of those!
Food is a love language and beautiful gift. Yet, these days there’s so much fear and guilt surrounding it. We should all get to enjoy our favorite dessert without worry what’s going to happen to our bodies!
My first job as a dietitian was nutrition counseling at an employee wellness clinic at a school system in Tennessee (I loved that job!). I got to work with hundreds of women (and men and children, too) with various health conditions and goals, including PCOS. I’ve seen how nutrition can affect health for the better!
I’ve also seen how our fat-phobic society’s obsession with beauty encourages restrictive diets, poor body image, and disordered eating.
These standards hurt people with PCOS even more. I’ve felt this first-hand, as I have PCOS, too. I used to hate my body because of this.
We are all so desperate to be loved, accepted and respected. Everyone deserves this, and it fuels my fire to help those with PCOS eliminate symptoms while improving their relationship with their bodies and food!
With joy and peace,
Katie
